Basic programs
1. There is program “EKST002A.exe” and files necessary for its operation in
this folder. User manual “manual1.pdf” is in this folder as well.
The program allows:
- to create and edit the contents of the current (active) mark
- to save the mark in printer memory
- to retrieve (make active) from the printer memory any previously saved
mark
- to keep in printer memory graphic symbols of the User(logotypes)
- to retrieve graphic symbols (logotypes) of the User from the memory and
save them on hard disc of computer
- to adjust modes of mark printing (tumbling, autorepeat, group print)
- to overview full graphic contents of the mark (which will be printed)
- to overview and adjust printing parameters
The program does not require installation and can be started directly from
CD-disc.
2. There is program “EKST_006FB_Auto.exe” and User manual
“ekst007fb_auto.pdf”
This program is an advanced version of basic program “EKST002A.exe”.
The main feature of the program “EKST002A.exe” is support of external
device “Flashbox” (“EKST” production).
The program does not require installation and can be started directly from
CD-disc.
3. There are programs “SigGen02.exe” , “SigComm.exe” , a
standard (basic) file “Standard.bin” of symbolgenerator weaving as well as
a short User manual (file ”Program FontGen.pdf”description ) in this folder.
The program “SigGen02.exe” is intended for creating and editing fonts
used in EKST printers directly by end-users.
The program “SigComm.exe” makes it possible to load the set of fonts into
the printer from beforehand prepared symbol generator weaving file. It also
makes possible to read from the printer and save on hard disc of computer
the current set of fonts.
The program does not require installation and can be started directly from
CD-disc.

Multiplexor
Programs for additional devices
Has been developed and prepared for production a new
device –working name “Multiplexor”(number for ordering
41011). Its dimensions are 120x140x35 mm
Its function:
- Makes it possible to connect up to 6 EKST printers to the computer via 1 port (USB or
RS-232).
- Makes it possible to ensure permanent and independent from each other printing of
information by each of connected printers simultaneously from the file in format “MS-
Excel”.
Program “EKST_008MX”
The program is intended for independent control of printing containing different information
by EKST printers (from 2 to 6) via “Multiplexor” device.
The program takes information from “MS-Excel” file and loads text lines from corresponding column of this file into each printer. The fitment of number of the printer and the column from the file is set by the operator manually.
Note: It is also possible to load each printer with a separate file!
Program “EKST_008MX” was developed and tested for joint operation with MS-Excel from the “Office XP” package under WinXP control
The program operates only with printers of firm “EKST” production with connected to it “Multiplexor” device of “EKST” production.
The program allows to perform choosing of the following parameters:
- choosing of necessary column from “MS-Excel” file
- choosing of the initial and final line to be printed (inside the chosen column).
- choosing of fragment number (inside the mark), where loading of the next file line will be performed.
- permission/ prohibition of continuous printing mode(without external sensor)

SYNCHRONIZER
The printer ”EKST-Graphics“ can be equipped
with an additional unit ”Synchronizer”.
The unit is installed into a special connector inside the
case and does not require replacement of other units.
Variant 2-for control unit ”DN4233”
(order number-41013)
- the ”Synchronizer” makes it possible to control signal delay within the range 0-999 999cycles (of external or internal tachosensor )with 1 cycle discreteness.
-
to control additionally prescaler of cycle signal within the range 0-64999, which makes it possible to increase the range of photosensor signal delay up to 60 000 000 cycles (with corresponding control discreteness increase)
- to control photosensor signal delay for compensation of big unevenness of speed of object movement(correction during fight of the drop)
-
to perform autostart of printing with 2-100 000 000 000 period with photosensor signal strobbing.

to perform start of marks package printing(with regulated number of marks in the package ) by means of photosensor signal.
to filter the product’s sensor signal to eliminate false positives due to noise
Synchronizer control
To enter the “Synchronizer” editor press +, with that the standard mode of autorepeat of the marker (Del+A 0 is switched off automatically
while it is necessary to to zeroize the standard delay (Ins+D) manually. Changing of edited line is performed by means of arrows “up”, “down”
Mode ( choice of mode by arrows ”right”, “left”)
- “Norm print”- mode with controlled photosensor signal delay
- “Autoprint”-mode of print autostart with controlled print start period
- Start of package”-mode of autoprint start by external signal with controlled period and number of marks in the package
In order to change the following parameters it is necessary to use digital keyboard or, to choose the corrected order by means of buttons “right”, “left” and further correct its value
by means of buttons <+>,<->.
Divider-sets the number of impulses(of external or internal tachosensor), ignored (transmitted without reaction) per one synchronization impulse . ( I.e. “0” means, that all the impulses synchronize the delay,”1”- every second impulse is used in sequence of impulses and so on)
Delay (for standard print mode)-is the value of controlled photosensor signal delay in synchronization impulses
Distance (for standard print mode)-is the parameter corresponding to the distance of print head to the object ,which makes possible to take into consideration the time of drop flight when the speed of movement of objects is irregular. It is necessary to carry out the following actions in order to adjust it:
-
to enter the value of parameter ”Distance” “0” and perform print adjustment with maximal possible speed of object movement.
- to set minimal speed of movement and enter such value of parameter ”Delay”, that printing be performed in the same area as in the previous item.
-
to set maximal speed of movement and by means of increasing values of parameter ”Distance”, reach the printing be performed in the same area as at the minimal speed.
Period (for autoprint and package)-controlled period of print autostart measured in synchronization impulses.
Offset (for autoprint and package modes)-controlled interval before print autostart, measured in synchronization impulses.
Number (for package mode)- number of marks , printed after start impulse
Filter – controlled parameter for filtering of photosensor signal
“USB –COM adapter”
The device is connected between the external connector “RS-232”of EKST printer and USB port of external device (computer)
The device is intended for ensuring connection between the EKST printer and external device (computer) by means of USB-1.2 channel. Such necessity arises in case of unavailability of free COM port of the computer. The delivery set of “USB-COM adapter” comprises drivers of FTDI firm.

Keyboards with sensor display
General description
A new model of keyboard on the base of TFT-display with sensor panel has been developed.. The given model (further- Keyboard is fully (in electrical components and in soft ware ) compatible with all EKST printers produced after year 2009 and can be adjusted to any
User language without changing the program( with that by the User himself).

The keyboard allows:
Light emission diodes zone contains a standard set of light diodes of EKST printers and control buttons for switching on/off the printer, the jet, high voltage.
Key field is intended for entering values of digital parameters of the printer.
TFT screen has a sensor panel and reflects all the parameters and control buttons(It is necessary to touch slightly the button in order to activate it)
